Bob, otherwise known as Mr Happy, has one of the most amazing outward going nature and temperament of any Chesapeake I have imported.
He is the only clear deadgrass dog to be imported into the UK since I imported PH Penrose Play It Again Sam in 1997.
Bob wins his first CC at Welsh Kennel Club under Gundog Group specialist Mrs Patsy Hollings.
This was only his third championship show, he is the only light deadgrass male to win a CC in the UK, a colour which is very popular in America and Europe.
He has correct conformation, conforming to the breed standard, with balanced angulation front and rear.
An excellent length and lay of shoulder and upper arm, with a good angle at the point of shoulder giving him excellent reach in the front which balances well with his drive in the rear. He has straight legs with straight movement, his hocks neither turn in nor out.
Early training shows he has much desire to want to work and the nature to please. He has now been introduced to warm game and shows he has a soft mouth, is quiet and steady. He picked his first live bird at the beginning of November.
